Stephen Harrell

Managing Director

Stephen joined Insurance Specialty Group in 2010. He has over 17 years of insurance, reinsurance, underwriting, and operations experience within the retail and MGA insurance segments.

Along with managing a $23M personal book of residential construction business, Stephen is responsible for all underwriting and operational activities at Insurance Specialty Group and has been leading the ISG team since 2017. He previously spent time as ISG’s Territory Underwriting Manager and EVP, Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining ISG, Stephen spent almost five years with Marsh in Atlanta working as an Associate Casualty Broker in the Global Risk Management division. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Risk Management & Insurance and Entrepreneurship from Florida State University and is active in many FSU Associations. Stephen holds Property & Casualty Insurance Producer licenses 44 states and has proudly sat on the Board of the Voila Foundation for over 5 years.
