Builders More Optimistic with Improved Economic Outlook

The USA Today wrote that “Homebuilders are growing less pessimistic about the housing market, despite tighter lending standards that have slowed home sales.”

According to the National Association of Home Builders, builder sentiment is up 4 points in January to 25.  This is the highest level seen since June 2007.  While any reading below 50 shows negative sentiment, positive articles on the building industry are being published daily.  Submissions into ISG show that many builders expect to do more construction in 2012 than they did in 2011.
